Rabbi Eliot J Baskin
Rabbi Eliot J. Baskin, D.Min. DD. is an entrepeneurial spiritual leader and globetrotter. He serves as a Rabbi at Shalom Park Elder Community. He retired as Associate Rabbi of Temple Emanuel in Denver, Colorado. Previously he served for two decades as Denver's Jewish Community Chaplain. He enjoys volunteering for the Denver Police Chaplains' Unit and United States Secret Service, leading Jewish holiday services for Cruise Lines, and lecturing throughout the world on contemporary Jewish spirituality. He was ordained from Hebrew Union College in 1985 and received his doctorate in pastoral care there in 1993. He previously served congregations in Rochester, Minnesota, Fort Collins, Colorado, Glastonbury, Connecticut, Evergreen, Colorado and Durango, Colorado. Recently he lead High Holiday services in Suriname, Taiwan, Guatemala, Myanmar, Bali and Thailand. Originally from Toronto, Rabbi Baskin makes his home in Denver with his wife, Hilary, an orthodontist, where they practice "blessings and braces." They are blessed with two adult sons, Jonah and Gabriel, who share their passion for skiing, hiking, biking, magic, theatre and travel, and of course, everything Jewish!
